"Everybody will turn out fine" in God's plan . . . " by Mom R
0 comments Posted by Malaybalay Blogger at 5:42 AMThis is my initial feeling as the time allows me to be alone
Up to when this hunger will last only its duration can hone
But once in a while I get to complain
Will life ever be the same again?
Children make us work all day to serve food on the table
Then they go to school forever and then suddenly they become capable
This is life - on one side its beauty
This is life - on the other side its strife.
That's why when I was watching "Everything's fine"
I asked myself : is everything really fine?
The father, Robert D Niro, speaks for all parents
They just want to become good providers to their children.
So as life goes on it is good to believe that "everybody is indeed fine"
For should you disagree, can you do something better?
As it is the children grow up and become their own persons
Time to let them be as parents too go their way.
But we all know this is what life's teaching us
We all go through the course, one by one
Sometimes, however, it is not all fun
So once in a while there's pain and there's pain
Still everybody will turn out fine as planned
And we go on if only to be open to what lies ahead
Only God knows how and when things will end
So let us stop and talk awhile while we can.
No offense meant but after so many orders of fast food one can only relish nutritious food being served at table! But what can most do with the busy schedule that seems to siphon much of our energy? How can you enjoy the food you so patiently prepared and cooked when your body refuses to give you the reception you so wanted to possess? A much more ready- to- eat fast food, hot and outwardly presentable and delicious seems more inviting.
With so man reality shows that we see on tv, some titles are inspiring like "losing it with jillian" or "the big loser". Definitely teachers like me who have reached the high 60 must come to terms with "mortality". These seem to be my preoccupation nowadays what with so many of our colleagues "going ahead". But this will be thet topic in my next blog, for now, it is losing weight. Do you have tips? Let us exchange notes. At the moment, I am just conditioning myself to begin soon . . .
So have you ordered fast food lately and often? Perhaps we can still do so but it should be less than more. Also, these fast food chains should reconsider their policy about not offering 20% discount to senior citizens. All the more the elderly should avail of the discount especially when they are alone in their homes. Calling DTI and the DSWD!
To fellow senior citizens-teachers, how are you doing?
The College of Teacher Education, Bukidnon State University, Malaybalay City just passed Level III during the accreditation done by AACCUP last December 2010- Congrats CTE! Now, the challenge is to make sure all our graduates, if not, at least as many, pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers. Personally, I really try to do my share being one of the teachers of CTE myself.
I would like to invite alumni, especially my students who have succeeded and are now working as teachers in the field to make a comment here and together do something concrete for our would-be LET takers, anyone?
So why do we prefer to say that life teaches all teachers? We say so because it is so. Look at all the events that we experience or observe, we find ourselves passive or active. The better option of course is to accept whatever life offers and from it become better and do better. A wise person did say "once a teacher always a student." Agree?
Fellow teachers, friends and followers, here we go again!
If not for Ryan and Analyn, my Neo computer was unable to go on line. Others say it is because my lowly computer is considered "garbage unit in China". People can really be cruel. My daughter could not help but get mad at these people but this made me think, someday, why not Apple?
Still, my neo compu has been my companion and I have not yet fully explored its features so Neo it is unt il it decides to desert me.
Good News! I have come up with an Instructional Material on Peace so expect me to share some excerpts. You can order if you like. If you have something like this, let us exchange notes.
At this juncture, allow me to say my greetings: Belated Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, advance Happy Valentine!
A loved one experienced this cruelty. His hard earned motorcycle was "driven away" by the expert criminal and this happened in front of an eatery where in fact they were eating and talking. To this day, we have to wait for six months to receive a declaration of non-redemption. The sad part is that we continue paying the motorcycle although we lost it to the robbers. The only hope left is the fact that we were able to choose an insurance that allows us to be given a brand new replacement. It will soon be six months since the "abduction " so expect a blog documenting whether or not the company makes good its promise.
Have you seen these culprits? We rejoice if now and then, we hear some of them caught "in flagrante delicto (caught on the act). In some instances, some have to be hurt or killed because the owner fought for what was his property.
May there be strong vigilance and police presence everywhere in our country, the only christian country in Asia.
With scenarios, like these, can we ever have happy persons? Can you come out of the trauma of being victimized by these able-bodied robbers?
Happy persons, where are you?
"Who Moved My Cheese" by Dr. S. Johnson - have you read it?
0 comments Posted by Malaybalay Blogger at 6:45 AMWith a plan to come up with an instructional material, this book comes at the most opportuned time. Hopefully, Dr. Johnson can see a copy of it. Also, this blog will carry some of its main insights.ife,
So let us all look for The Minute Teacher - do share what you think of it if you have read it already.
Is this due to the fact that the world is inhabited by different races? Or is it because a country feels its people has been unjustly treated? Like what happened to Hongkong tourists who came to the Philippines. They were in the last leg of their tour when a certain Rolando Mendoza commandeered their bus and such hostage drama ended with 8 Chinese nationals dead. Now, it seems dangerous for Filipinos to go to Hongkong. This is sad because if there is one place you should never miss to visit, it is Hongkong. Now, everything is done by the two countries to forgive each other for the tragedy. Hongkong has released "black" advisory indicating to it citizens to avoid the Philippines. Hopefully this is not racial discrimination but an unfortunate event of a misguided grievance turn tragic.
While my beloved country is still nursing its pain, Venus Raj, our contestant for Miss Universe placed fifth in the contest. What a most timely joyous event after a most unfortunate blow to one's confidence. Thank you God.
So racial discrimination can come in various ways. People can glare at each other when together in a train or a bus because as we "dress down" each other, we see more differences than similarities. But wait: when an earthquake or an inevitable plane crash is about to happen, each of us can embrace each other for at that moment all of us are helpless. We become human beings who only want to come out of it safe and secure.
Let not our externals override our intention to live harmoniously in this one world of ours. Let us allow the short duration of staying in this planet an opportunity to take care of each other just as this one world of ours remains safe for our stay however short it is.
There is so much indifference all around us. Sometimes we can understand why. Some tried to overcome it but found it inevitable. Others opted for the lesser evil and began to hate, at least there is still some feeling. Situations, like this, call for the presence of the Teacher. This is where not just any teacher will do but the real one who "walks his talk". Do not feel flustered, there are really many of them.
In this day and age when the young prefer computer games to the usual tete-a-tete, all sectors of society should join hands to balance the development. Then there is the need to become more active in one's church. More specifically, the good decision to offer mass is always good.
Let us all be ready when The Teacher finally comes in for we are graced - we are in good hands!
Since she said this "double word- major, major "- she became fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe Contest and has launched the Major-Major You tube sensation and blogs that garnered many followers. This the fuzz and what the fuzz is all about.
For most students, being 22 is a time when one is preparing for graduation or has just graduated so it is a stage when life is exciting and is filled with many firsts. The idea of a great mistake does not come yet in the picture. So Venus has a point in claiming she has not committed a major, major mistake. When all things are said and done, Venus will definitely have all the chances to bloom and fulfill her dreams: many major, major tasks that will occupy her attention for a long, long time. To Venus: Congratulations once again!
